Mrs. Shauna Hatch recieved the Outstanding Classified Employee of the Year for Park School.  On May 16, 2011 Craig Harvey of Horace Mann presented Mrs. Hatch with a certificate and some goodies representing how the staff at Park School feels about this great lady.  Mrs. Hatch was originally hired as a Title I technician and now she is also an office assistant secretary. Mrs. Hatch is one of the nicest people here at Park School.  She is a breath of fresh air.  She is always positive, understanding and willing to lend a listening ear.  Mrs.

Ski Jumping, Aerial Ramps, and Bobsleds

The Fourth Grade students at Park visited the Alf Engen Ski Museum and Olympic Park just outside Park City on April 22, 2011.  We learned more about the importance of snow to the economy of Utah and the importance of the snow pack to our water supply for the residents of Utah.  We learned that after the silver mines closed in Park City the snow became white gold, by bringing in tourists that wanted to ski.  The students got to see where athletes practice aerial ski jumps in the summer by going off ramps into a swimming pool.  We went to the top of the bobsled run and had

Hope of America

The fifth grade students are now practicing for the Hope of America.  Hope of America is a patriotic program that is part of the kick off for the Freedom Festival each year.  The students will be performing in the Marriott Center in May.

3rd Grade Spelling Bee

The 3rd grade students recently participated in a grade level spelling bee.  We would like to congratulate all those who participated and give a big Hip, Hip, Hooray to the 3 winners.  Third place went to Amanda Lewis, second place went to Nathan Oviatt and the first place winner was Carson Czarnik.  Good job!
