KSL Radio and Zions Bank honored Susan Cloward, a Reading Specialist at Park Elementary School on
September 22, 2010.
The Teacher Feature Program was developed to recognize outstanding teachers who have gone the extra mile, not only in the classroom, but who have also made a significant impact on many young lives.
The Utah Symphony through the Professional Outreach Programs in the Schools (POPS), were able to once again visit our District and perform a concert for the 4th grade students. The performance was held at Maple Mountain High School this year. Our Park Fourth grade students looked fabulous as they boarded the bus all decked out in their finest clothes ready to hear Musical Magic: Stories Come to Life. The symphony was conducted by David Cho. The students heard music from a Harry Potter movie, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Sorcere
The Park Elementary sixth grade classes visited the Viet Nam Moving Wall at the Spanish Fork Cemetery on Monday, September 13, 2010. The students were awed by the number of men and women, 58,000, who died trying to preserve freedom. Andrew Stamm found the name of his great-uncle on the wall.
