Dear 5th Grade Parents & Guardians,
This week at school, your child will be participating in a special presentation about Shadow Mountain. Shadow Mountain is a summer camp opportunity available only to 5th grade students in Nebo School District. I have included a letter from the Shadow Mountain coordinator explaining the camp.
Just a reminder that registration for the 2022-23 school year is NOW OPEN for all families currently enrolled as well as new students in Nebo schools. Please log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal to complete your annual registration and to add any children attending for the first time in 2022-23 (Kindergarten). Registering your students now helps us as a school to be able to keep teachers for next year since it is student based.
The teachers have had a peep war happening all week. Teachers were put onto teams and each team was given three peeps of a certain color. Their job was to hide their peeps so that no one one else could find them. If they were found, the person had 10 minutes to be able to hide them again before the peeps could be up for grabs. The front office staff played hard and seemed to have the advantage so another group of teachers decided to "peep" the office. Friday morning came and the front office as well as both Mrs. Hughes' and Mrs. McEntire's offices were covered in peeps!
A couple of months ago, Holly Moss won Teacher of the Year at Park Elementary! This week, she was officially recognized at the district office and awarded her plaque. We are so proud of Holly and all she does to make Park and her students a success. Thank you Holly for all the time and effort you put into your lessons that encourages not only your students but your fellow teachers. Here is the write-up that was shared at the program:
Second Grade had so much fun on their field trip to Harward Farms! They went to many different learning stations that taught them about all the different things that makes up farming. From all the animals, to the foods we eat, and the tractors that help.
Mrs. Ray's husband was at a work event and met up with Carleigh Fairchild. When he explained to Carleigh that his wife teaches Leadership Academy and what that entails, she recorded a message for our students. Carleigh is a wilderness/outdoor personality. She was on seasons 3 and 5 of the show Alone and took 2nd place on season 3. You can listen to her message here!
Hi Park Parents,
We would LOVE for you to nominate yourself or someone you know to be a member of Park's School Community Council for the 2022-23 school year. Please read the flyer, fill it out, and turn it into the office by April 29th.
Thanks,
Mrs. Hughes
Mrs. Taylor’s class has been learning about measuring with nonstandard units. We read the book called How Much Is A Foot? They got to measure things using a king’s foot which match the book we read.
