Nebo principals were nominated by their peers for each award. This year, Mrs. Hughes was awarded the Instructional Leader of the year! These principals will represent Nebo School District and submit applications to the Utah Association of Elementary School Principals (UAESP). Principal Garrett Andersen said, “It is always a great opportunity to award these honors each year and to be able to recognize the great things our Nebo principals do each and every day.”
Registration dates will be March 21st for returning families and April 11 for New to Nebo students. If you have a returning family that will have a Kindergarten student, they will be able to register that student in their portal starting March 21. All other Kindergarten students will be on April 11 with the New to Nebo.
As a reminder, last month we focused on keeping your child safe with technology and limiting screen
time. Especially, in light of current events, setting limits on how much time is spent with
devices/screens and what content your student is ingesting is becoming increasingly important.
Research has shown the connection and correlation between screen time and content with anxiety,
depression, ADHD, ability to focus, academic performance, social skills...the list goes on. To sum it up,
A brand new month means a brand new leadership story! This month's story is read by Mrs. Lloyd! Please have your child listen to the story here and then discuss with your child the habit that they feel best is represented by the story. After the discussion, fill out the google form here so that they can be entered into a drawing to win a copy of this book!
We have an upcoming opportunity to be a part of a Love & Logic Virtual Parenting Workshop on January 24, January 31, and February 7 via Zoom. More details can be found by clicking on the link below:
