Made it by a Hair

Last month, Park students were challenged to read 180,600 minutes during the month of March in connection to the Champions Challenge Rodeo.

Our little Panthers made it by a hair with 181,000 total minutes read.  As part of the challenge, Mr. Kay, Mr. Gull, Mr. Talbot, Mr. Glenn, and Mr. Hales agreed to let students shave their heads or beard.  Needless to say, we have a few bald teachers walking the halls of Park School.

1st Grade Read-A-Thon

First graders in Ms. Poulsen's class chose to work for a read-a-thon as their behavior reward. They worked really hard through part of February and March to earn this reward.   Nice job Panthers!

Mrs. Banks Receives Classified Employee Award

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

If you've ever watched a NASCAR race, you would be impressed by not only the cars themselves reaching upwards of 200 MPH, but the pit crew as well and everything that goes into running a successful race.

Well, Mrs. Banks is our well-oiled machine that makes any stock car look like something you would see entered in a demolition derby.

Mrs. Banks has earned the Classified Employee of the Year Award for OUTSTANDING perfomance.  Craig Harvey from Horace Mann Insurance presented Mrs. Banks with the award.
