Last week Ms. Boyer's class had a science investigation on matter and what makes up our universe. We discussed atoms, molecules, and the periodic table. Each student went outside and took observational notes. Then, they had a great conversation about microscopes and what scientists have discovered. Way to go leaders!

Native American Tribes and Cultures

Submitted by bristi.poulson on

Fourth graders enjoyed a presentation about Native American tribes and cultures. They learned about different tribal dwellings and how they hunted/gathered food.  They also got to see different native american artifacts and learned that many of those items (cradle boards for example) are still used today.

D.A.R.E. was great, but NOVA is awesome!  Park Elementary is lucky to have Officer Peterson share his knowledge base with our 5th graders this year!  NOVA has a focus on helping youth to seek out and achieve success in life.  It's motto is "Illuminating the Path to Excellence".
