Welcome to Park Elementary, Miss Beaudin!

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

This is Miss Beaudin's first year teaching but she has helped in classes before and she says she loves teaching here at Park. She loves reading and playing games in her free time. She has 6 people in her family, and she wants a dog but her dad says no. Her favorite subject to teach is math because some times they do fun activities.

The Panther Press is a new journalism club created by Mrs. Mendenhall that gives students selected the chance to write articles for our school newspaper. Over the year, the members on the Panther Press will be able to write about exciting assemblies that take place throughout the year, as well as special field trips, Spelling Bees, class projects, and other subjects with signifigant importance. The members are excited for this new oppurtunity that has come upon them, and can't wait to publish their hard work on our school website!

Fresh Market School Cents Donation

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

We are lucky to live in a community full of businesses that support local schools.  Fresh Market shows their support through the School Cents program.  Schools are preselected by each store.  Store patrons can turn in their Fresh Market receipts at the school or at the Fresh Market store.  The more receipts the school collects the larger the donation.  At the end of September, Mark Levingston from the Spanish Fork Fresh Market presented Park Elementary with a check for $902.35.  Fresh Market will be donating over $50,000 to local schools this year.  On the

Live United: Day of Caring

Thursday, September 13, 2012 was the Live United: Day of Caring.  Employees of the Nestle (Stouffer's) Company came to Park Elementary and spent the morning giving our playground a face lift.  The basketball standards were repainted.  The map of the United States was labeled with the abbreviations for each state.  The Neslte employees painted other colorful geometrical shapes around the playground.  We appreciate the employees from the Nestle Company for spending time at Park Elementary and making our playground a fun and colorful palce to play!

Park Panthers are Leaders of Greeting!

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

On Friday, August 31st, 2012 some of our 5th and 6th grade students were invited by J. Lynn Jones, the Special Education Director for Nebo District, to greet Special Education Directors from all over the state to a meeting at the Nebo District Office.  The students who were chosen to participate were Madyson Lackey, Bethany Wilson, Brandon Cook, Joe Graham, Laurae Latham, and Chris Hatfield.  They did a great job shaking the hands of those in attendance and directing them to their meeting.  We are proud of our student leaders!

Fourth - Sixth Grade Spelling Bee

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

The Park School Spelling Bee had 16 participants from fourth through sixth grade.  As the students spelled their words, it was evident that they all had studied very hard to qualify to make this far.  Each fourth through sixth grade class had held class spelling bees to find students that would represent their class in the school-wide bee.

Mrs. Elaine Olsen's Preschool have created amazing cities.  The students had an assignment to create a business to be in a city in their preschool class.  The students made some fantastic businesses and they were very creative.  Pictured are many of the businesses that made their cities.  The students pictured are in the Monday morning class.
