Veterans Day, November 11, 2011, the students at Park School were privileged to have local veterans present an assembly highlighting the great accomplishments of our military. The veterans introduced themselves and told the students which branch of the military they served in and which conflict. They represented World War II up through the War in Afghanistan and Iraq. The students were shown a short video which showed how our military help people all over the world. After the flags were retired to the sound of Taps being played on a bugle by one of the Veterans, the student body san the song "Thank You Military". The song was led by sixth grader Taya Sorensen one of Park School's student leaders.
