Mrs. Perschon ROCKS!

Over the past few months, Warren Orthodontics in Springville held a Best Teacher contest where students could nominate their favorite teacher.

 Mrs. Perschon was nominated by Ethan Brown and was presented with a prize and a class treat of Pop Rocks becuse she ROCKS!

Ethan says he loves that Mrs. Perschon reads books in class, has lots of interactive learning and of course, she is NICE.

Congratulations Mrs Perschon!

Crystal Apple Award Presented to Mrs. Sorensen

Park Elementary Crystal Apple Teacher

We are proud to announce Mrs. Sorensen as Park Elementary Crystal Apple Teacher of the Year! 

Mrs. Sorensen attended Utah Valley University and graduated with a paralegal degree.  She worked as a paralegal for several years before returning back to UVU to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.  She started her career at Park Elementary in 2007 as an intern and has been here ever since!

There's Snow Place Like First Grade

First grade students in Mrs. Poulsen and Mrs. McAllister's class celebrated what they learned about winter with some fun activities yesterday. Students learned how all snowflakes are different, wrote about “How to Catch a Snowflake”, read books about winter, and made a tasty snowflake treat with Mrs. Lybbert.  Great Job Panthers!

Nebo Foundation Donates Grant Money to Park Elementary

Special Education teacher, Mrs. Baron, is pleased with the recent donation of two-hundred and fifty dollars from the Nebo Foundation which helps to purchase The Number Worlds Leveled Intervention Math Program.  This program is aligned with our current Utah Common Core and supplies individual student text booklets, all relevant lesson manipulates, and a teacher's manual.  Mrs. Baron happily states:
