Students met together on January 3rd to celebrate the first Victory Assembly for 61 leaders from Park Elementary. Victory Assemblies are a way to recognize students as leaders in the areas of math, reading, and leadership in the classroom. Students are selected by their teachers and recognized during a Victory Assembly on the first Friday of each month.
Park students also had the privilege to have Superintendent Rick Nielsen as a guest speaker. Mr. Nielsen shared stories from his days as a “Park Panther” on the student council and racing cars down the ramp in the hallway. Mr. Nielsen shared his love for the 7 Habits and the Leader in Me program and examples of leadership from people in his life.
Mr. Kay presented Mr. Nielsen with a Park Elementary polo shirt to sport around the district office.
