Officer Farnworth from the Spanish Fork Police Department met with 5th grade students for the past several weeks instructing students on the importance of staying drug free as part of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program (D.A.R.E.)
Officer Farnworth discussed with students the importance of making good, healthy choices and resisting the use of drugs. Fifth grade students were honored at D.A.R.E. graduation Wednesday where they recieved a certificate for completing the drug free course. Students also sang two D.A.R.E. favorite tunes, Hot to Not and Take a Stand.
Congratulations to Kaiyah Isaacson, Korbin McEwan, and Lizbeth Vivar, they were the winners of the D.A.R.E. essay contest!
