Our PSL interviewed scholarship applicants. They asked questions and are determined who will receive the money we raised during Penny Race. Stay tuned to hear who our previous Park Panther scholarship winners are!
Oakes has been saving his Proactive Paws and earned enough to have his picture taken with his friend Simon! Great job being such a fantastic leader Oakes.
5th Grade Track Meet was a success! It was a beautiful day to run and cheer on our friends.
The fifth grade classes went on a field trip on Monday sponsored by the American Legion. Students were given shirts to wear and a dog tag to remember the day. We learned about Flander’s Field, the importance of the flag, the different armed forces, how to show our patriotism, and how to honor our veterans. We learned so much and are so grateful for our veterans.
Our first graders had fun at our lunch in the park. Families met our first graders at the park to have a picnic and play.
To Park Parents-
Be involved and have a positive influence at Park Elementary by serving on the School Community Council. The School Community Council serves as an advisory council to the school administration. Parent candidates cannot be Park employees and must have a student attending Park Elementary during the 2023-2024 school year.
Spanish Fork Junior High School’s Hope Squad came to present to the fifth grade classes on kindness. They asked the students what they could do to spread kindness and be a bucket filler. Our fifth graders gave some amazing examples! Students added their ideas to a donut they can take home to remember to sprinkle their world with kindness. We love to learn from student leaders in our community.
Congratulations to Kate, Josie, Izzy, Nathan, Oakes and Margaret for being our grade level winners for the Rodeo reading challenge! These students read the most minutes out of all the students in their grade level! Our two overall school winners are Kate and Nathan! Way to go readers! As a school, during the month of April, we read a over 290,000 minutes! What an amazing accomplishment and we are so proud of our Park Panthers.
4th graders learned about animal adaptations and got to meet some new animal friends when Loveland Living Planet Aquarium came to visit!
