First, please make sure you have registered your student in Infinite Campus. You can register by going to park.nebo.edu/registration.
Second, please sign up for a time on Wednesday, August 18th, Thursday, August 19th or Friday, August 20th for your child to be tested by one of our incredible Kindergarten teachers. Click here to access the sign up. The testing slots begin at 8:30 am with the last slot at 3:00 pm. If these days or times do not work for you, please call the office so we can assist you in setting up an assessment time. This assessment is not optional, all Kindergarten students must be assessed.
This assessment will help us determine your child's placement. We do have an all day Kindergarten option, however it is not available to open enrolled students AND your child has to qualify to be considered.
Third, after you have registered and signed up for a KEEP Assessment time, please click here to fill out a form on your preference of AM or PM Kindergarten and IF your child qualifies for extended day (all day) Kindergarten, would you accept this placement. This form does not guarantee your child will be placed in the preference chosen, but I will do my very best to accommodate your request.
Fourth, after we have assessed all Kindergarten students, we will meet as a team to analyze the data and determine which students qualify for extended day Kindergarten and which students will be placed in one of our half day sessions. You can expect a phone call on Monday late morning/early afternoon from your child's Kindergarten teacher.
I am so excited to meet your student and can't wait for them to fall in love with learning! Our Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Sterner and Mrs. Jones are PHENOMENAL. We definitely have the best of the best!
