In one of our CKLA units, the fifth graders were able to learn more about Native American culture. The Wilbur family from Mapleton graciously came to our school to share their culture. We were able to hear stories, one that explained why we have mosquitos, and watch a beautiful hoop dance. Then we were able to learn some of the hoop dance formations. We have loved learning so many amazing things about science and cultures in our CKLA program this year.
