Mrs. McEntire served as the Title I Coordinator for Park Elementary for the past two years. She served as an Instructional Coach for East Meadows and Canyon Elementary Schools for five years. A colleague said, “Mrs. McEntire is an instruction leader. She is extremely dedicated to the education profession and puts in many long hours. Penny is one of the most humble humans. She is friendly, kind, and willing to listen to others. Penny always puts others first and makes everyone feel valued and appreciated.”

One of Penny’s favorite quotes is from Maya Angelou, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”

Penny said, “I am appreciative of this assignment and thrilled to work alongside the students, teachers, and community of Orchard Hills Elementary. As an educator, I value the roles of each of these stakeholders in relationship to the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. It is my pleasure to add my skill sets and my experience to the wonderful faculty, staff, and students at Orchard Hills.”

Penny is married to Merlin; and they have four children and two grandchildren. Penny loves spending time with her family in the wonders of nature. Together they enjoy hiking and riding on ATV trails. (She often does this with a good audio book!) Additionally, Penny is talented with painting, restoring furniture, and creating different baked goods.
