If you know anything about Park Elementary, the first thing you would think of is the Leader in Me program.  But, there is something else at Park that is just as special.  Mrs. Graham, our wonderful and caring computer specialist teacher, has spent about an hour a week for the past four months working with a special group of students called P.A.L.S or Park Advanced Learning System.

Park Elementary 2014 Crystal Apple Teacher

LesLee Hunt received this year's Crystal Apple for her exemplary teaching and service to the students, parents and faculty of Park Elementary. Mrs. Hunt has taught at Park Elementary for 14 years. She is dedicated, knowledgeable and hardworking. Mrs. Hunt is dedicated. Mrs. Hunt loves her students and is committed to giving them the very best. She goes the extra mile on behalf of students as well as parents and teachers. It is well know that Mrs. Hunt will help you with anything you need. Mrs. Hunt is a caring, dedicated teacher. Mrs. Hunt is knowledgeable.

Leader in Me Financial Wellness and Service Day

As part of The Leader in Me program at Park Elementary, we educate not only our students in the 7 Habits, but also our parents to help families to be successful in our community. 

Last Thursday, parents attended a financial wellness class presentation by Brian Nelson, Founder and President of 8 Pillars Financial Education Company.

Coates 5th Grade WIG Party

Mrs. Coates 5th Grade class enjoyed a chip and dip and game party for reaching their WIG (Wildly Important Goal) of 90% Excellents in Prep time during the month of March.  Way to go Panthers!

First Grade Reward Party

The First Grade 3rd Term Reward Party for those students who met the attendance and citizenship requirements. The students played games in each room. They were able to play Hot Potato, Charades and Glow in the Dark Bowling. For our last activity, there was a huge first grade Dance Party and popsicles. The students had a lot fun. The games and dancing were a great way to Sharpen Our Saws!

Cheryl Leifson Honored as Park Elementary Teacher of the Year

Park Elementary is so proud of our Teacher of the Year  Cheryl Leifson! Mrs. Leifson is a wonderful teacher and gives her heart and soul to her Kindergarten students.  

The following has been said about Mrs. Leifson:

Cheryl loves coming to school early and putting on inspirational music. What magic will take place in her classroom today? 
Cheryl teaches from the heart and gets to know each student individually and stirs in them a desire to create.

4H Drama Club Performs for Parents

Our very own 4H Drama Club exhibited some of their talent in a musical called GO WEST!  Students worked very hard to this point and did a great job singing and dancing. Thank you to Mrs. Lowe and Mrs. Davies for all your hard work in 4H. We are proud of the talent at Park Elementary!

Mrs. Bradford's Class Celebrates WIG Party

Mrs. Bradford's class celebrated with a Paint Party recently.  Over 80% of the students passed off learning the alphabet letters and sounds! Students were excited and had a fun time painting with water color paints and eating treats!   Mrs. Bradford is so happy with this accomplishment and for the class!  Way to Go Panthers!!
