Students in Ms. Marshall's class are learning about the 4 seasons. Today students synergized to make a 4 seasons collage. Great teamwork Panthers! They look awesome! 

Here is a fun family activity happening right here in our community.  This is a free community event for everyone!

Park Elementary kicked off their school wide WIGS (Wildly Important Goals) this week.  Be sure and ask your students why their teacher looked a little different today.

Our school WIGS are:

90% of our students will receive a Golden Panther Paw this year for showing great leadership skills and living the 7 habits.

93% of our students will be ON TIME for school each day.

90% of students will be reading at grade level by the end of the year.

This week we welcomed Mrs. Cromar to our Fourth Grade team.  As you can imagine, starting up a classroom after school has started is no easy task.  Park teachers stepped right up and spent the afternoon helping her set up her classroom.  At Park we simply call that 

Habit 6: Synergize. Together Is Better: Alone we are smart. Together we are brilliant.

On August 30, students and parents filled the gym at Park Elementary.  They had the privilege of listening to students speak about their experience at Park and how their leadership skills and the 7 Habits have helped them in school.  They were introduced to the faculty and had a chance to meet with their teachers for important school information.  After all of that, everyone gathered back in the gym to be entertained by the Green Man Group from Utah Valley University.  Since it was raining, we all gathered in the lunchroom to enjoy a hot dog dinner. 

We are currently seeking parents to serve on our School Community Council.  We meet once a month at the school.  The council plays an important role in our school creating our School Improvment Plan as well as advising the School Trust Land Money.  If you are interested in serving, please stop in the office and fill out the application by September 8.  We are currtently looking to fill 6 parent positions.

The 2nd and 3rd graders had a blast getting to know each other on the first day of school. They cooled off with a popsicle, and got to make a lot of new friends. 

Please plan on attending our Back to School Bash, August 30 at 6:30.  We have school information ready for you as well as the GREEN MAN GROUP and our tradtional hot dog social on the playground.  We will have school shirts ready for you to order as well. Shirts are $8.00.  Students will wear them on Spirit MONDAY.  There is an order form attached if you would like to print it and bring it with you.

Our annual Back to School night will be held August 30, 2017 @ 6:30 in our gym.  We hope that you can all attend as this night has turned into a fun family tradition.  You will receive important school information as well as meet with your teachers and discuss the great things that will be happening in your child's classroom this year.  And back by popular demand.... THE GREEN MAN GROUP will be here!  After their performance we will have a hot dog social on our playground.  Hope to see you all Wednesday.
