D.E.A.L.

Submitted by bristi.poulson on

At Park Elementary D.E.A.L stands for Drop Everything And Lead. We spend some time each month focusing on the 7-Habits. Our first graders got to listen to Mrs. Hunt's DEAL lesson. Mrs. Hunt taught about Habit 2, Begin with the End In Mind.  She had the students discuss how they use Habit 2 at school. They talked about doing their Take Home books, nightly home reading, and working hard in class. This is beginning with the end in mind because they are trying to reach their bubble gum goal (making 1 years growth in reading). Awesome job, Leaders!

Park Receives NEW Trees

Submitted by lindsey.hughes on

Tree Utah and Ivory Homes awarded Park Elementary 8 new trees for the playground. A wonderful Park parent wrote a grant to Tree Utah expressing the need for more trees for our school. We received the grant and were able to plant new trees last week. Students were able to take a few minutes to learn about how trees are beneficial to the world and help plant them. Thank you Tree Utah and Ivory Homes for our new trees!

Science Investigation in 6th Grade

Submitted by bristi.poulson on

Last week Ms. Boyer's class had a science investigation on matter and what makes up our universe. We discussed atoms, molecules, and the periodic table. Each student went outside and took observational notes. Then, they had a great conversation about microscopes and what scientists have discovered. Way to go leaders!
