At Park Elementary D.E.A.L stands for Drop Everything And Lead. We spend some time each month focusing on the 7-Habits. Our first graders got to listen to Mrs. Hunt's DEAL lesson. Mrs. Hunt taught about Habit 2, Begin with the End In Mind. She had the students discuss how they use Habit 2 at school. They talked about doing their Take Home books, nightly home reading, and working hard in class. This is beginning with the end in mind because they are trying to reach their bubble gum goal (making 1 years growth in reading). Awesome job, Leaders!
Brrr ... It's getting cold outside! We are excited to announce that we are selling sweatshirts and hoodies for students and adults. This order form came home with your student today. If you would like to order a sweatshirt, just fill out the form and send your money in with it by October, 18, 2019.
First Grade visited the Big Red Barn last week. We got to pick apples right of the tree. We got a chance to learn how the farm works and what plants need. We then got to play and have lots of fun!
First grade students in Mrs. Hunt's class were taking turns bowling in class and writing equations and drawing pictures to match what was happening with each bowler. Lots of great math fun!!
Tree Utah and Ivory Homes awarded Park Elementary 8 new trees for the playground. A wonderful Park parent wrote a grant to Tree Utah expressing the need for more trees for our school. We received the grant and were able to plant new trees last week. Students were able to take a few minutes to learn about how trees are beneficial to the world and help plant them. Thank you Tree Utah and Ivory Homes for our new trees!
