On January 21st the 4th grade students presented 3 mini-operas. Each opera is written by the students, the props and set design and the costuming is done by the students with some teacher and parent help.
The operas were based on events in Utah history. Mrs. Smithee's class presented: "The Midnight Mystery" a pioneer story. Mrs. Perschon's class presented: "The Watches of Time" a time travel opera to Thistle, Utah. Mr. Hales' class presented: "The Pony Express" a wild west adventure.

Our presenters Ashley Kerbs and Kristen Bonner brought models to help teach our students about the water cycle, Utah weather, water conservation and Utah wetlands. The students were also able to see a garter snake and a tiger salamander up close and personal. The program was very interactive, engaging, and fun. We learned that Utah is the 2nd driest state i
Wednesday, January 20th the students at Park School were taught to avoid drugs, alcohol and violence. This assembly presented by Corbin White focuses on getting a "natural high". This assembly required lots of student participation from giving ideas of what can give you a "natural high" to singing karaoke to their peers. A fun time was had by all, including the teachers who got to perform "Twist & Shout". Thank you Corbin White for helping us remember all the good things we can do to be happy!
