Raise the Curtain! Park Elementary Receives a Grant from Macy's to Perform "Yes, Virginia The Musical"

In celebration of the fifth anniversary of Macy’s holiday “Believe” campaign, the retailer is bringing the beloved “Yes, Virginia” animated special to life on school stages across the country! “Yes, Virginia The Musical” is based on a true story and tells the heartwarming tale of 8-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon, who wrote a letter to the New York Sun newspaper in 1897, inquiring about the existence of Santa Claus.

Remembering Grandpa Taylor, a Park School Leader

Grandpa Taylor, a Park School Leader, was born in 1931. He joined the navy after graduating high school. He fought for our country during the Korean War.  Grandpa Taylor married his love Grace Louise Moore on December 29,1955.  He also had five children.  He loves all of them very much. We all know that Grandpa Taylor is famous for his wave.

Gobble! Gobble!

Each year we have a Gobbling contest!  The best gobblers are awarded with a turkey.  This years winners were kindergarter, David DeLaCadena; first grader, Aiden Fairbanks; second grader, Savannah Penrod; third grader, Zkaydin Fowles; fourth grader, Logan Castor; fifth grader, Nate Gilmore; and sixth grader, Sydney Crandell.  Congratulations!

Welcome To Park School Annalyse Anderson!

We all know that we have new teachers here at Park Elementary.  One of them is Mrs. Anderson, who teaches 6th Grade. Here are some fun facts about Mrs. Anderson.  Her favorite color is purple. She's married and has 4 kids. In her free time, she likes to watch her kids play sports.  She wants to make a shout out to all the nice students and faculty members and teachers. All of her students are happy to have her as their teacher!
