“Aruba, Jamaica, ooh 5th Grade wants to take ya… on their Cruise Day.”   Well, it wasn’t exactly Kokomo, even though that is where we would wanna  go, fifth grade students enjoyed themselves nonetheless.

May Victory Breakfast

Gandhi once said: “Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment, full effort is full victory.”  Well, there were 25 satisfied students with full bellies because of their own victories Friday morning.  Yes, Park students enjoyed another Victory Breakfast with special guests Julie Warren, Elementary Education Director and J. Lynn Jones, Federal Programs Director from Nebo School District.

Champions Challenge Reading

For the past two months, Park students have participated in a reading challenge sponsored by Spanish Fork City in connection with the Champions Challenge Rodeo.  This event is taking place at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds on May 31st.  Students that met the requirements for their monthly reading were entered in a drawing for two tickets to the Champions Challenge Rodeo.  Former Mayor Wayne Anderson and members of the Diamond Fork Riding Club drew one lucky name from each grade level to attend the sp

Literature Leaders

Leadership is becoming more prominent each day at Park Elementary.  It’s important for students to learn leadership skills now, especially when it applies to academics.  That is exactly what our Literature Leaders experience as they work to promote reading in the school.  Students at Park have the opportunity to find certain books in the library, read them, and report to a Literature Leader about the book they read.
