Literature Leaders

Leadership is becoming more prominent each day at Park Elementary.  It’s important for students to learn leadership skills now, especially when it applies to academics.  That is exactly what our Literature Leaders experience as they work to promote reading in the school.  Students at Park have the opportunity to find certain books in the library, read them, and report to a Literature Leader about the book they read.

Mrs. Luke’s class had an early morning pancake breakfast for all the students who met their WIG to bring planners back all term.  Congratulations to these students for using the 7 Habits and meeting this goal.  These students will definitely be ready for 6th grade next year!

If you know anything about Park Elementary, the first thing you would think of is the Leader in Me program.  But, there is something else at Park that is just as special.  Mrs. Graham, our wonderful and caring computer specialist teacher, has spent about an hour a week for the past four months working with a special group of students called P.A.L.S or Park Advanced Learning System.
