The beginning of a new school year is a time for students to start fresh with friends, teachers, and most importantly--themselves. At Park Elementary we know how to start FRESH. The beginning of the school year is a time to start with new class mission statements and personal goals.
Thats exactly what Miss Williams' first grade class has started this week. You need to know that these mission statements are not pre-written statements or something the teacher establishes in his or her classroom. As a Leader in Me school and even more recently-A Lighthouse school, students along with their teacher come up with ideas, rules, behaviors and habits they want to live by. Students are guided through a process and create their CLASS MISSION STATEMENT. They own it, they live it. That is what Park is all about. We are here To Live; To Learn; To Lead.
