Leader in Me in Session

While the State Legislature is in session, leaders from Park Elementary had the opportunity to visit the state capital and showcase The Leader in Me to some of our state representatives.

Monday, February 3, 2014 started out very early for six Park Panthers: Tyrel Bird, Logan Castor, Auston Castor, Katie Stauffer, Baylee Carter, and Hampton White.  These student leaders shared their Leadership Binder with legislators and discussed personal goals, why they made that goal, and made new goals after celebrating with a victory.

While at the Capital, students were able to meet Sean Covey, founder of The Leader in Me and Corbin White, a mentor to schools implementing the program in their school.

Park students made a big impression on the leaders they met.  We are excited for all our students at Park Elementary that are developing their leadership skills in and out of the classroom.
