It was a battle of the books as Mrs. Sorensen's class collided in  a Reading Superbowl that was held for two weeks leading up to the real Superbowl last weekend. The class was divided into two teams, the Broncos and the Seahawks.  Students read each night and turned in their minutes on a football the following day.  Whichever team had the most minutes read the night before, scored a touchdown for their team. It was a nailbiting event as the score went back and forth and ended up being a close game.  In the end the Broncos ended up winning by 1 touchdown. It was a happier outcome for these Broncos than the Denver Broncos last week.

We are proud of the effort of both teams as the class synergized together and read over 7,200 minutes!  Students who participated and turned in the required number of footballs were awarded a superbowl ring.  Great job Mrs. Sorensen's class!
