Gandhi once said: “Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment, full effort is full victory.”  Well, there were 25 satisfied students with full bellies because of their own victories Friday morning.  Yes, Park students enjoyed another Victory Breakfast with special guests Julie Warren, Elementary Education Director and J. Lynn Jones, Federal Programs Director from Nebo School District.

Mrs. Warren and Mr. Jones both shared how important it is to use Habit 5, Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood.  Listening to others and understanding people’s feelings is important in school and in life.  Mr. Jones also shared his favorite habit, Sharpen your Saw so you can keep balance in your life.

Students shared their favorite habits and how they use them in school and at home.  Probably the most impressive thing students shared were their own class mission statements and a 7 Habits song.  This was impressive because students did not rehearse anything they said or did.  It came natural to them as they smiled their happy faces.

Mr. Jones and Mrs. Warren both agree, “There is something different at Park, it is a special place.”  We know it is our wonderful students that are living the 7 Habits.

Congratulations to all our students that came to breakfast and to each student who earned a Golden Panther Paw this year!
