Champions Challenge Reading

For the past two months, Park students have participated in a reading challenge sponsored by Spanish Fork City in connection with the Champions Challenge Rodeo.  This event is taking place at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds on May 31st.  Students that met the requirements for their monthly reading were entered in a drawing for two tickets to the Champions Challenge Rodeo.  Former Mayor Wayne Anderson and members of the Diamond Fork Riding Club drew one lucky name from each grade level to attend the special event.  Mayor Anderson added a little suspense to the drawings by having each grade stand all at once and eliminated students by saying the initials of possible winners.  It was a picture perfect moment when one boy looked around realizing he was the only one standing in the 3rd grade.  It was a fun celebration not only for the ticket winners, but for the students and the thousands of minutes they read.  Time well spent!

Winners of the drawing from Park Elementary were: Mason Hatch, Landon Buchanan, Micah Kemper, Tesa Jensen, Madilyn Beattie, and Jordan Jackson
