Mountain Man Rendezvous

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Mrs. Smithee's 4th grade class enjoyed some Mountain Man activities at their rendezvous celebration this week.  Students have learned all about the life of a Mountain Man.  During a rendezvous, mountain men would trade, tell stories and have other fun activities together.

Mr. Kay even dropped by to show off his mountain man strength.

Way to go Mrs. Smithee's class!

Seasons Come and Seasons Go

The Seasons Come and Seasons Go, Do you know what makes it SO?

Sixth Grade students participated in a seasons lab where they collected data, used critical thinking skills and made observations as to what might cause seasons.

Students tested two different hypotheses, distance and tilt of Earth's axis, as they worked with high tech equipment.  It was a great learning experience for all to have a hands-on activity to learn from.

Park Students Help With Food Drive

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Christmas is a time for giving.  Students at Park did just that and more as they enthusiastically hauled food to the auditorium and stacked it in organized sections.  There may be a job at Maceys in the future for these kids.

The Christmas Spirit is alive and well at Park School.  Thanks to all students, staff and parents for your donations and help during this time of year.

6th Grade Performs A Christmas Carol

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Mrs. Cooper's 6th grade class performed the classic Charles Dickens play A Christmas Carol  for parents and students today.  Mrs. Cooper's students have put in a lot of time and effort and performed a terrific show.

From Scrooge to Tiny Tim to the rest of the cast, students dressed the part with their best 1800's attire with cool sound effects to spice up the performance even more.

Great Job Mrs. Cooper's class!
